Mark 78H-21
PARFLUX Sediment Trap

The PARFLUX Mark 78H-21 is a time-series sediment trap designed to collect settling particles in oceans and lakes. The sediment trap can be deployed for a short time period -- days to weeks --, or continuously for up to 18 months. Sample capacity of the Mark 78H-21 is 21 events.

For minimum sample contamination, the interior layer of the cone and the sample bottles are made from natural polyethylene. Each sample bottle is securely sealed from ambient water before and after each collection period. The Mark 78H-21 frame is a rugged, non-contaminating, long lasting titanium weldment. A trap can be easily handled by two people and is designed to withstand deployment in high seas. It can be deployed with a stand-alone mooring or as a large high-tension array to depths of 10,000 meters. Optional sensors such as compass/tilt, pressure, and temperature are also available.

The menu-driven, user friendly operating software is designed for maximum programming flexibility via serial communications (RS-232 port). The sediment trap controller saves self diagnostic data before and after each event.

Three years parts and labor warranty
