ITP in the Arctic
Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) continues to deploy McLane-built ITP’s in the Arctic, including a model integrated with Wetlabs Puck and Biospherical Par sensors. The ITP’s collect and transmit CTD data about conditions under the ice. Scientists monitor this data near real-time via inductive modem and Iridium satellite. Deployments have also been completed by British and Russian scientists. For more information see the Winter 2008 McLane Newsletter.
